About Hannah
Hannah Acar is an accomplished and highly experienced singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Newcastle upon Tyne. In 2009, she graduated from the University of Liverpool with First Class Honours in Music and Popular Music and in 2010 completed a Masters degree from the University of York in Community Music.
Hannah has toured the UK and Europe extensively with her own band and as a supporting vocalist and violinist with rock legends Status Quo as well as folk star Kathryn Tickell. With these artists, Hannah has recorded on several gold award-winning albums and performed in theatres and stadiums across Europe, in addition to performing live on television and radio. Her diverse performing career has taken her from Glastonbury to the Royal Albert Hall, to songwriting with veteran rock stars. Other career highlights include supporting Sir Tom Jones in 2015 and and taking the stage in front of 62,000 music fans at Radio Live 2 in Hyde Park in 2016.
Hannah is in great demand as a performer and for her experience and understanding as a teacher. She is one in a minority of teachers to offer examinations in both classical (ABRSM) and pop/rock singing (Trinity College) and is pleased to have a 100% exam pass rate. Hannah is dedicated to music education; reaching out and giving back to the wider community whilst following her own musical ambitions.
